CHAPTER II (Hyperlokal @ Athens)

How to talk about art and war? How to talk about art and crisis? This is the topic of Chapter II of The War and Peace Project . Join us on Friday, 7 April, 6 pm, in Athens for an encounter with Georgios Papadopoulos*Circuits and Currents, a space run by students of the Athens School of Fine Arts, will host Chapter II.  * Georgios Papadopoulos combines economics and philosophy with an exploratory artistic practice. His work investigates alternative economic spaces and their impact on the subject. In 2012 he won the Vilém Flusser Award for Artistic Research by the transmediale festival and the University of the Arts (UdK) in Berlin. He has presented his work at the ICA (London), KIASMA (Helsinki), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), MQ21 (Vienna), the Museum of Conemporary Arts (Warsaw), the Judson Church (NYC) and the Acropolis Museum (ATH). Papadopoulos is the manager of the annual performance festival of the Athens School of Fine Arts, ASFA BBQ. He has published two books and a series of papers in academic journals, and edited volumes.
